WIP: Demon Claws

Although I am broken
Shattered on the ground
My will no longer whole
My heart entirely gone

The pressure to keep me going
Has got me going down
And it now takes so much more
To use a smile to hide a frown

I can feel the demon's claws
Shredding through my skin
The blood spills out and I don't mind
It was my hands the entire time

Because pain is just dandy
Tears, not so much
It's dark where I sleep
And cold where I breath

Want to know what hurts the most?
More than all the cuts and bruises
Want to know what hurts the most?
All the scars other people leave
When you think they cared for you
But realization settles in


And the demons hands
Are back again
Wearing my gloves
Here to shred
Everything
I ever loved

And I can hear their footsteps echo
Fading down the halls
I'm left alone in darkness
Just me and the demon's claws

It's painful to pull forward
When the past pulls me back
I feel the chains of time tighten
My bones shrivel and then  crack
